What do Jay-Z and Pepsi have in common?




Millions of people saw Beyonce headlining Pepsi's Superbowl halftime show, and now it seems the soft drink giant and Sasha Fierce are back at it. In Pepsi's newest commercial entitled "Mirrors", Beyonce takes a trip down memory lane. After wrapping up a rehearsal dance session, Beyonce down a cold can of Pepsi and is then confronted by some of her most iconic dance video characters. She proceeds to relive some of her most famous dance moves from her most popular music videos. 






At the end of the ad, Beyonce says, "Embrace your past, but live for now." The 60 second spot works perfectly with Pepsi's tagline of 'Live for Now". Their partnership with Beyonce is a huge advantage when compared to other soft drink companies. Beyonce is arguably the most recognizable female musician of my generation. Having her represent the Pepsi brand was an brilliant move and might even boost an already outstanding brand image.
