This Bottle of Coca-Cola's Got Your Name On It

Coca-Cola is set to give Australians the opportunity to drink from personalized bottles. That's right, as part of their new campaign the people at Coke have decided to release 150 different bottles with specific first names on them. These names will represent some of the most popular names in Australia, and Coke hopes that the buzz generated from this new move will put their product on everyone's mind in the coming months.

As a part of their new campaign, Coca-Cola Australia has created a Facebook page to help spread the word. Also to be found on the site are individual songs for each of the 150 names, plus an assorted number of ads dedicated to certain most popular names. Those who are disappointed with the fact that their name isn't one of the 150 selected to be placed on a bottle need not worry too much; Coke has given these individuals the option to visit participating shopping centers who will individually place their name on a customized can.

I think that this is a really great advertising strategy for Coca-Cola. Many laughs will be shared over these new bottles and cans. Furthermore, the Facebook page that has been created for this new campaign features several interactive components that will further keep the company on everyone's mind. The site allows visitors to create virtual cans that can be shared with friends. It also has information regarding a related contest wherein four top prize winners will receive $50,000 prizes. I expect all of these things will add up to make sure Coke is on everyone's mind in Australia in the coming months.
