During this year's Super Bowl, there was a resurgence of the well-known advertising campaign, "Got Milk?"
Milk Mustache Commercial 2013
The "Got Milk?" campaign began in 1993 for the California Milk Processor Board to encourage the consumption of cow's milk. The "Got Milk?" ads have shown the benefits of dairy milk, from empowering people to unsticking peanut butter from their mouths.
In this ad, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, professional wrestler and actor, is shown as a dad who is also a super hero. He wishes to fight crime and save the city that is currently thrown into chaos, but is unable to until he obtains milk for himself and his children. Who would've thought such an intense man is powered by simple milk?
This ad is very successful because it uses a popular actor, has surprisingly good graphics and some humor, and ends with the "Got Milk?" message that has been recognized since 1993. This is a feel-good ad that appeals to all ages.
