Customer feedback is critical for business success –
and now with technology, communication is more instant than ever! Alyona
Medelyan with “Digital Doughnut” explained the importance of customer feedback
by saying that the best products are built by listening to customers, figuring
out what their specific needs are and then building products that create
experiences that are beyond the customer’s imagination.
Some questions a company can ask its customers are
“What do they like?”, “What would they be willing to spend money on?”, “What
would make them recommend the product to someone else?”, or “What features are
they looking for?”. With the vast expansion of
technology and companies going social, this desired feedback can be given
almost instantly.
Platforms such as Twitter and Facebook allow company
representatives to receive feedback as soon as a post is made requesting the information. The feedback could be given in the form of a poll, comments, completing an action such as clicking a "yes" or "no" button, etc. Social Media platforms are also a useful tool when needing to respond
quickly to questions and concerns. Being able to communicate in real time
limits or avoids completely the frustration of waiting for a response from a
company. Communication is key and the power to communicate our thoughts with companies is right at our fingertips.
Businesses
value what their customers have to say and may use customer feedback to
determine their next steps. Never be afraid to share your opinion!

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with the importance of consumer feedback! I am someone who personally bases almost all of my purchase decisions on customer reviews. I also think it is important for companies to listen to what consumers have to say about their products so they can improve for the future.
