A Smart Way to Advertise a Smartphone

Samsung is advertising their new S8 smartphone in the most creative way. The company surveyed 2,500 Brits to discover which views in the country the people were most fond of. They then created a huge (23-by-10 feet) S8 smartphone frame to place in these gorgeous locations. The company worked with UK’s 2016 Landscape Photographer of the Year, Matthew Cattel, to set the frame up in the country’s top 20 locations which allowed people to interact with the smartphone frame and the beautiful views. This gave people an idea of how clear and realistic the pictures taken off of the S8 will be.

I think that this is a great way to advertise a product. It brings people together in beautiful locations. The frame is a fun and creative way to take pictures at these beautiful spots. The pictures then can be posted onto various social media platforms giving Samsung’s S8 a lot of attention. Overall, I think that it is a smart way to get consumers involved with the brand and product. Would you want to get involved in a campaign like this?

  1. I really enjoyed this idea of having a good perspective of how the pictures taken with the phone would be like. It's very simple, yet interesting. Putting the Ads in famous places such as Stonehenge also creates a touristic atmosphere around the Ad itself, which is very smart.
